AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as an attacking player. She also serves as the captain of the San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest level of professional women's soccer. From 2018 until 2020, she was a co-captain of the US women's national soccer team with Megan Rapinoe. [8][98][9] Morgan was chosen by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. This made her the sixth-youngest U.S. player ever to reach 20 goals in one season. She was named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, and was a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan played a key role in the United States winning their titles at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the FIFA Women's World Championships in 2019. She was named to both the Dream Team for both tournaments. In 2019, she took home the Silver Boot.
